Whiteoak Court Nursing Home
Promoting quality of life in later years
Whiteoak Court offers 24 hour nursing care by a dedicated team of qualified and caring staff in a warm and friendly atmosphere. The staff are trained to soon know the likes and dislikes of each resident, to treat them as individuals and to spend time and listen. New residents settle very easily into our home.
Accommodation is provided on two floors, the first floor being served by a passenger lift. Whiteoak has a bright, double aspect, spacious day room.
Meals are taken in the dining room. Meals are home cooked with an excellent and varied cuisine using as much fresh produce as possible. Special diets, if required are also catered for. For those not able to feed themselves, ample time is allocated by carers to sit, talk and feed each patient.

Patient services available are laundry, library facilities, newspapers and magazines as ordered, physiotherapy, chiropody and hairdressing by appointment on the premises. Visits by the dentist and optician can be arranged. Religious ministers call regularly. The Residents private rooms are fully carpeted, furnished attractively and are well appointed to the very highest standard of comfort and convenience. Every room has its own vanity unit together with a nurses call button to alert staff on duty during the day or night. Some single rooms have en-suite facilities. Residents are most welcome to have their own television or radio, special keepsakes and personal items in their room.

A qualified activities lady visits in the afternoons to stimulate conversation and to provide games and entertainment for the residents. Spending time, listening and talking one to one is key to our residents' well-being.
There are two double rooms available as shared accommodation sometimes provides comfort to the elderly and infirm. Double rooms are spacious and each Resident is able to maintain their privacy and dignity. Optimum use is made of natural light and the furnishings so arranged to give the best home feel possible. Staff encourage Residents to enjoy and be at ease with their surroundings.
